I solemnly believe Dogs are one of the best things that happened to mankind. And in a country like India, people are more inclined towards buying foreign breeds and do not give a damn to our local breeds that are more well suited to our climate and are complete darlings. Through this Calendar, we wanted to throw the limelight on the awesome Indian breeds that have lived and adapted to our way of living for centuries.
We at The Pawsome People Project realized there is a strong need for people to understand the goodness of the Indian Pariah Dog AKA our common street dog. We’re here to tell this story and change the lives of our furry companions and in turn the lives of human beings as well. Through this calendar, we wanted to spread awareness on other breeds special to India.

The most primitive and ancient breed of dog known to us that belongs to India is this Indian Pariah. A relative of Dingo, this breed has no trace of genetic tweaking or modification from the human side. Owing to this, they share an appearance with various other primitive pariah-type dogs around the world like the Basenji (Africa) , Dingo (Australia), Podengo (Australia), etc.
